Home made Rockets

Anyone played around making rockets? not so much ur fire cracker type rockets, im talking larger scale?
I know you can make some pretty crazy soda bottle rockets, pretty keen to give one a crack.

We used to make alot of rockets as kids, i'd also be interested to see some decent home made rockets. Id be a bit weary about letting them off in the burbs though, you'll have police on your doorstep in minutes. Especially if you've just created a new ICBM.

Got photos of my son as it leave the ground, the look on his face is priceless.

It's not that easy taking photos of something moving as fast as it does while you are keeping kids out of danger and launching the rocket. And it gets mighty small mighty fast.
