I stumbled accross some interesting news this morning.
Aparently SONY is releasing a new PS3. Its smaller and cheeaper then the original.
Will go see if i can find some specs or a video. Aparently it wont be avail. in australia until late september or something.
I guess they are feeling the pressure from blizzard!!

These should be availiable next week and at least 100$ cheaper.....i new i waited for a reason!

Sony is also making headwind on the media front with details emerging regarding other new services that may come to life. Including broadcasting of ABC and other services via the internet. I think the goal is to turn the PS3 into a fully functional media centre.

will be getting one of these next week!!

I have the original 60Gb version and it's fan makes noise while in standby.

The #1 selling point for me with this new version is that it is quieter than a Wii.



I want one but I don't think the wife will see things my way.

$498.....was hoping it would be a bit cheaper.
Im going O/S next month so i might try and pick one up then!
does it have issues with regions for blueray? (NOTHING A MOD WONT FIX IM GUESSING)

There are no PS3 mods

hmmm for $339 i mays well buy here in AUS and be able to use a warranty to some degree. Also i dont like my chances of it being region free.
