i think their is a new drivekey chip now that connects to the SDcard reader as well as the optical drive. This allows you to put the games on a SDcard and play directly from that. I'll look into it.

I wonder if you may be able to help me.
I have downloaded some games.
Most of them I havent had any problems with; however a couple of the games I downloaded, wii play, more game party 3 and big brain academy, when I come to play them the screen goes black. I think its just before I should get the screen asking me to make sure I have the wii remote securely attached to my wrist.
Do you have any suggestions as to what I should do?
I am using a drive key.
Many Thanks for your help.

Yea ive had the same problem and no matter what i tried i could not get them to play. I think the reason was that they were encoded from a US source and are NTSC. Now i thought the drive-key would still allow me to play these on a "PAL" system. PAL being the aussie standard, But it didn't. Can you confirm the ones you downloaded were PAL or NTSC?

I'm hoping your talking about downloading backups from your server! hahaha

Found this on drivekey.com website

2009-11-26 >> NSMB fixed on DriveKey!

We have fixed the NSMB issue in DriveKey. The updated firmware will be in all chips shipping from Monday 30th November. We will also be providing an update for existing DriveKey owners, which will be released as soon as the JTAG programmer is ready. In the near future we will also publish a standard for appending BCA data at the end of the ISO image, so that any new game with this new protection will work without any update of the chip. The actual game ISO will remain unmodified.

also had a bit of a look at the wiihacks.com forum, heaps of info there if your stuck!
