Postby manny10 » Tue Jun 08, 2010 11:54 am

Hello people,
Does anyone know whow to attach wire to these connectors. They are commonly used in the RC scene.
They are called JST connectors.

Are they solder or crimp? Do i need a specific crimp?

I have seen this connections before. Yes in the RC parts.

I would think the best connection for them would be crimp and solder. I would crimp them then solder just to add extra strength and better connection.

Basically the butterfly ends are crimped over the cable. Haven't heard of a specail tool to crimp these I would think some needle nose pliers would be good enough. Then just put a soldering iron and bit of extra solder to give it extra strength.
