Telstra bumps up its Next G uplink to 5.8 Mbps

Postby Blacky » Mon Jun 29, 2009 7:16 pm

Just reading on itnews.com.au that Telstra has bumped its Next G service up to 5.8 Mpbs....
I also read somewhere that they are releasing their 21Mbps modem as well....
Is this just a ploy to lure customers? I have the feeling they are promising to much. seriously 21Mbps.....the only way i can see users getting this is if they are sitting under the tower! any thoughts?

Good for me, the tower is frying my brain 500meters away, I say it would be like ADSL2+ and any sort of wireless.

I thought next g already at 7.2mbits?
